Anton Severin serves as vice president of research at the Health & Fitness Association, where he leads the organization’s research strategy, data partnerships, and analytics initiatives across the full spectrum of issues shaping the health and fitness sector. Since joining HFA in 2024, Severin has expanded the association’s consumer, benchmarking, and advocacy research portfolio. He has launched long-term industry data tracking tools, including the Fitness Industry Traffic (FIT) Tracker, and developed new strategic resources, such as the State of the States: US Fitness Policy Update & Compliance Guide, to strengthen HFA’s role as the authoritative industry data and insights center. Previously, Severin served as director of research at the American Gaming Association in Washington, DC, and earlier worked as a communications consultant in Stockholm, Sweden, his country of birth.
